Why how many players were out on the o line this season ?? And what will the O Line look like next season , got to have blocking up front to open the holes and protect the passer , right ??
The question isn't whether LSU has had good offensive games with Stud at the helm. Clearly we have, hell, even Crowton occasionally had them. It just so happens that we've finally gotten some execution out of Mett and the receivers with the same base offense. The question is can he make playcalling changes when defenses stop playing the run most of the time. And I'm not sold on that. Generally speaking, I don't like keeping this jerry-rigged system from last year going on any longer for the reasons already mentioned.
Change my vote from a yes to a hell yes. Stud is more predictable than the sun coming up in the morning.
Please bring in a real OC. We don't need a flashy offense, just one that can move the ball consistently and score in the red zone.
The glaring reason we need a big hire OC... one of the commentators made the comment after arkys FG to go 17-13 behind us..."LSUs offense isnt going to light it up against you".
Yeah, I think that Stud's problem is his failure to adjust. When our game plan is working and the players aren't making mistakes, he can really control the clock. But when what we're trying isn't working, he keeps trying it over & over again.
His biggest problem is the whole world knows whats coming with his 5 play playbook. He very seldom keeps the defense off balance and guessing.
