I've seen plenty of players' attitudes differ from the stance taken in the media. O is a players coach and has more respect from the players that interact with him the most. I'll admit that I have not seen anything directly from players other than the broad brush reporting that has been mentioned. So I could be misunderstood. Saban is gonna Saban and we will continue to wear the bullseye on our backs. Recruits will have to decide for themselves, but I cannot imagine the senior staff taking punches that are not warranted.

O is in a bind of his own creation. It doesn’t matter who’s in the White House, you’ve got to be more diplomatic than that. When he was asked about Trump’s comments on him he could’ve easily said he appreciated the Presidents kind words and we enjoyed our visit after winning the natty. Reality is, while it shouldn’t matter who’s in the WH, he chose to “love“ an EXTREMELY divisive person in some extremely divisive times while coaching and recruiting young men who by and large strongly disagree with his stance. Hate it for him, but it’s nothing a good publicist can’t help him navigate.

And it’s quite ironic that you say O is being painted with a broad brush, then turn around and paint BLM with the other side of that brush.

Nfl saves an ass load of money having Cfb as a de facto training mechanism. My point with
The 5’7 reference was that my loyalty is to LSU not the particular players .

I'll say this, O has helped more black kids than anyone in BLM.

shouldn’t both your examples be judged by their merits?

up to now o had been the consummate players coach, and by most accounts, seen as responsive to racial concerns according to reporting.... seems mostly positive to me

insofar as BLM is concerned, are you referring to the organization or the people marching, protesting, actually peacefully ( not the mostly kind) who are sympathetic to racial disparity, etc. and are willing to take a stand for it? they seem mostly positive to me

The organization was founded by a Marxist organizer who expresses appreciation for the us communist party? the ones who refuse to disavow stuff like ‘pigs in a blanket, fry em like bacon’?

they don’t sound very positive to me....
