Then it's not. If I'm in marketing the unfortunate truth is that today the only court that matters is the court of public opinion. If I thought for one second my business would be sullied because I sponsor someone who getting their name tarnished over allegations that are true or untrue, I'm pulling the sponsorship. That's just good business.
I can accept one false accusation. But five? The old saying "If it looks like a rat and smells like a rat" comes to mind.
We aren't talking rape. We are talking words. Basically, everything can be considered "harassment" these days. Hell, if a chick has two drinks she can wake up and claim rape if she feels guilty the next morning.
Follow the money, I dont trust women around famous people anymore they get away with more shit these days. Just the mention of possible harrassment is enough to make people settle.
Here's O'Reilly's problem. If a guy on the LSU board understands this, why doesn't Bill O'Reilly? I taught school about ten seconds before it was very, very clear to be very careful even with middle school girls. I took great pains to NEVER be in any situation where I was the least bit vulnerable to anything. Never.
True or untrue, the moment the accusation is out the companies will pull their ads. Most will especially if its 5 accusations. Agree that it can be a mine field with Women sometimes. I work in corporate America, I have seen guys walked out of the building for it. But I live in a no cause state. So they are pretty cut throat when it comes to things like that.
