While SFs example is debatable it raises a good point. Democrats (or those leaning in that direction) tend to not mind paying taxes if they get certain services for themselves or others out of it. Republicans (or those leaning in that direction) tend to mind paying taxes and would rather pay for certain services for themselves out of their own pockets. And if there are left-overs then think about helping others that can't help themselves out.
They are too busy trying to paint me as a raving lunatic racist redneck to understand any valid points.
I would love to know the following: For Both Parties: Percentage of total tax burden (which party pays the most) Percentage of total public use (which party uses the most) Percentage of members in low income (which party has the most)
What the hell does UHC have to do with improving efficiency. See you're drinking the kool aid. You can work on making things more efficient, which I, SF and many others agree we should do without trying to raise taxes on everyone and have UHC. If we can make governemnt healthcare programs efficient, then I will strongly consider UHC. Of course you realize, I will never have to strongly consider UHC under this scenario.
Yeah, I'm angry and I'm going to stay angry until we push back these leftist efforts to take control of our lives. I'm not sure I'm as angry as you are though. Yep. Saved me from having to look for something else. I'm not going to resign in protest, though. This particular bailout helped me but that doesn't mean I'm in favor of bailouts. I'll tell you something else. I wouldn't have been on here bitching about it. I would have been out earning money any way I could while looking for another job, something a lot of those "unemployed democrats" should learn to do.
