    That's probably a good thing. Mitigate whatever penalties the NCAA Gestapo might impose and at the same time avoid an embarrassing situation where so many players opt out that the team would have a hard time filling a roster. After this season what player wants to go through more weeks of practice to play in some meaningless bowl game in some god forsaken dump like Birmingham or Shreveport..
