Seriously...do we have a REAL reason why Lee doesn't play?

Lee is our only chance. Red you are Right. Lee > Jefferson for the start next sat.

Jefferson is still playing like a freshman, he cant catch up to his surroundings, the entire offense is one step ahead of him.

With what he brings (ability to run) he is a better fit for our scheme; HOWEVER, with our ability to run between the tackles (Ridley) becoming more established and the speed we have on the edges, we don't need a running QB we need one who can put the ball in our receivers hands and WOW won't that make us dangerous if we can also utilize them.

Not to mention it will only add to our run-game when teams have to respect our passing abilities. Lee has already shown he can hand the ball off very well, now let's see which one of the two can chunk it.

ANNOUNCERS SAID LAST NIGHT ON TV, THAT MILES SAID JJ WAS MORE PHYSICAL AND MORE MOBIL OF THE TWO. IN MY OPINION HE HAS NO ARM STRENTH. LOOK HOW MANY BALLS THAT DIDN'T REACH THE RECEIVERS, THEY WERE SHORT THROWS OR EIGHTER OUR RECEIVERS ARE TO FAST LOL

i'm trying to be as logical as possible in my thinking and this is what i truly believe. two years ago, because of the perriloux situation (and i hate to bring this name up), we had to make a decision between two very young quarterbacks...jl and jj. jl got the nod. he drove us crazy with the pick sixes and he was pulled. jj came in and played one really good game, and that's it, as far as my memory serves. it seems that ONE game has energized the coaching staff in hoping that some how, some way, that game can become the norm for jj. it just hasn't happened. while i question whether jl has gotten over those tough times one thing is for sure. he's two years older and two years into the system. we keep hearing about how sharp he is in practice, why not give him a shot?

to the coaches...please realize what most fans have and that is that jj, while athletic, does not run this offense the way it should be run and takes too much time to make up his mind, which often leads to miscues. and please also experiment with giving billy gonzalez a chance to call plays. it can't be more vanilla than what we've been seeing. PLEASE!

They were lazy and off the mark. They were bad passes, with this runnin game and WR speed, we need a Gun Slinger.

I dont think Randle & Toliver can take much more. Shep wont say it but he feel the same way. He had all day on what should have been a Long TD to TT, Horrible Pass, should have been a WVU pick!

    Lazy, Lazy, Lazy!

Thats All I see. He looked like he was in slow motion all night!

Jefferson is not a QB, something I said a long time ago. However, if you think putting any other QB in there is going to solve the problem, well you are in for a rude awakening.

Lee is the only true QB on the roster but it's not going to help as long as Crowton is there.

I have been a HUGE supporter of JJ

    But you are right,

POINT IS: Jarett Lee CANT do much worse. Its not as if Jefferson set the bar very high

You can't be serious about doing that to your only backup :rolleye33:

What I am concerned about Lee at this point is: how much rep has he been getting with the first line receivers??? with a lot of attention paid in fixing and adjusting to JJ's limitations.

It is not fun watching the offense these days, esp. with no passing game nor deep threats.

I put a lot of blame on GC too.

But at this point, J-Lee deserves a chance, the players deserve a chance and the fans deserve a chance

There is TOO much talent, like i siad, if we are going to throw this season away, lets throw it away making sure we played all of our cards. If we do not get J-Lee on the field, we will never know.

    We just need to see!

Lee has very little chance long-term, not because of Lee though. This is out of his hands. If you get a real OC then Lee has the skill to be the 2nd best QB in the SEC, with the current OC he will be near the bottom long-term just like Jefferson. The QB position is not the problem.

Look, LSU either cuts the cord or they don't. If they don't, the beating will continue for the offense. You are looking for a quick fix, which will only offer temporary results. It was time to bite the bullet a long time ago, a delusional Les Miles and a delusional fan base things you can outtalent a championship, probably not going to happen.
