On the Florida "Gatorcroc". How in the Wide Worlds of Sports do you overlook what the damn animal looks like when you are "reviewing" the cover before pub. I would think since they have had the Gator as a mascot for what 100 year? They could tell alot more quickly than others the diff b/t a gator and a croc. On the LSU logo. Absolutely hideous. Someone posted it on here best a few weeks back. "Looks like a cat chasin a ball of yarn"
I know, I love the LSU Tiger script. It is the best logo we have! Is there anywhere where we can complain? about our "NEW"/shittiest logo.

LSU would have been much better off keeping this in house. Keep it with people who know and love LSU. The best idea would be to set it up as a senior graphic design project. The students could have competed individually or in teams for a chance to have a nationally recognized universities LOGO and everything that goes with it in their portfolio. And LSU gets a FREE design that would almost definately be better then the tripe they got from some NYC based firm.
That was my idea as well. But they're hiding behind the "we wanted to keep the new logo a surprise and didn't want to let the logo get out" wall
I am also a graphic designer and, croc or gator, the cover of the Florida media guide looks AWFUL! It looks a 4th grade collage project pasted on the classroom wall. And having the crocodile on there - that's like LSU putting a lion on its media guide cover. Say, you don't suppose this croc snafu could be the beginning of an infamously jinxed season for the Gators, eh?
I like your thinking, Pastimer. As for the LSU logo, wasn't this topic tired a few weeks after the thing was unveiled, which was many months ago? What is the point of bitching about it now?
