SEC West pathetic record in bowl games this year

Thinking the 06 bowl was plenty motivation for them. Sprinkle in the 12 gang rape and you got quite the bone to pick.

 

Rebels got demolished, AU and UA lost, I'm happy.

 

Gotta realize we live in the age of entitlement , kids these days dont work as hard as they use to but ultimately its the coaching staffs job to get them prepared to play.

 

I don't buy into that at all. Bowl games are one last chance to represent your school if you're a senior or going to the draft. If you can't motivate for that, you're not much of an athlete, or much of a man, in my opinion. Unlike baseball or basketball, if you play football at half speed or half effort, you WILL get injured.

 

You can disagree but it is a fact and the sharps make a killing on it every year. They will have "scouts" at the bowl sites checking out who is taking in the local attractions ie. Partying and what not.

Bet your ass that some teams care and some are just having fun and enjoying the experience. See bama at the sugar bowl last year.

You've forgotten what it's like to be 20. Outside the few top bowls, they are about gifts and mini vacations. Final days to be together, before NEVER AGAIN being together as a "team."

 

Gotta get quarterback play that's why the SEC West top 5 didn't win shit, poor qb play. Blake Sims played ok but threw the game away, and the other team punched Alabama in the mouth and played to win, didn't hope they could hang on.

 

With a 3rd string QB and a WR who can throw the ball too.

 

I still think the SEC is the best conference but the PAC 12 is right on their ass. And the Big 10 has gotten a lot better. The Big 12 is better too top to bottom, but they need more teams.
