Clearly the correct decision to throw Ross today in hindsight.

PURPLE TIGER HOPE is not a strategy!

I hope our regional is the toughest of the 16. I hope every team is really good and possibly even ranked. At least that way the guys will come out to play. If we get placed with weak teams, watch out.

It isnt just strong lefties ...it is any lefty...that kid from illinois early in the year might not of broken 80 miles an hour with his fastball and we got one run.

I actually agreed with the decision to throw Ross early in the week because Vandy was supposed to throw someone else. When Vandy announced they were throwing their ace lefty even on short rest...with our performances against lefties, you've got to figure we wont get more than 2 or 3 runs in the game.Ross was the wrong choice at that point.

I had faith in him this time, and I was right. 2 runs in 6 innings is a very good outing for him. Now those extra 2 runs...

I did not expect Vandy to score many runs against us, even Ross.

I think letting Bradshaw and Jones pitch shows that he was using this game as regional practice.

I don't think anyone expected Dean, Schimpf, and Mitchell to go a combined 0-11, even against a guy like Minor.

He left with 2 runs but he gave up all 4...he was responsible for the other 2 that were on base when he left.

It is probably a moot point. Even if we throw Coleman or Renaudo... and they have a great outing and only give up 2 runs all game we still lose...The only difference would have been pressure on Minor in a close game.He got to pitch the last 4 innings with a pretty comfortable cushion.
