So hypothetically if Auburn is sitting at 12th in the final ranking and we are 13th, do they automatically take Auburn to go to the Orange Bowl in the scenario described earlier?

Is it me, or does head-to-head never seem to work in our favor, win or lose?

I think it's that we constantly need it to factor in a better bowl. In that respect, we usually get the lesser bowl. Usually the bowl we actually earned.

I always find that the team I'm rooting for to help LSU never wins. Except in 2007. That year it was all kinds of shit. Dennis Dixon goes down, Oregon loses, Pitt beats WVU. I think there was another but the dominoes fell where they needed to fall that year.

In 2003 it came down to something like Hawaii, who had lost to USC beat upset somebody in their last game to give LSU a few hundreths of a BCS point to edge out USC. But none of us knew that beforehand so we could root for Hawaii.

Maybe it was that Hawaii lost and it devalued the USC win over them by enough to put LSU in second behind Oklahoma in the BCS.
