SEC: Officials made correct calls at Auburn-LSU

The SEC is protecting their officials...I don't think anyone in the world besides the head of officials and Auburn fans feel it was the right call. Coach Miles still feels they made a mistake in his show last night.

I said it before...the flag was picked up because the officials thought twice about making it to their cars after the game. The discussion after the call had nothing to do with the tipped ball...it was all about making it home after the game. Look at that PAC 10 crew... :hihi:

Someone please answer those THREE in addition to the bull**** explanation the SEC offered. I was at the game and saw all those live without the benefit of replay. 4 calls in one game that all went against LSU totally made the difference. Only thing I can say is - the AU fans who were by and large complete dicks on the way to the stadium were largely humble when leaving. Humble but happy. I was proud of our team, but pissed because LSU lost because of poor officiating. It is the first time I can remember LSU actually losing because of officiating. The game was not decided by the participants, but by the officials.

LSU had 10 offensive possessions and 3 of those were stopped by the officials on incorrect calls, not by Auburn. Who knows what may have happened, but I am pretty sure we would have scored enough points to go ahead.

It was enough to have to play Auburn, which is a really good team, in their house (which was loud as hell) - but to overcome monumental officiating fukups - that was too much even for LSU.

I was joking when I was leaving the stadium that Auburn needed to stop warring eagles and start warring zebras. War zebra. That is what AU's battle cry should have been for the 2006 game.

I am sure they are happy no matter what, and I guess I would be, too. I was thinking that the PI flag against Doucet was their good karma going bad, but then they picked it up. I almost puked when I figured out that the people around me were not joking. That was bush.

If AU had the money to go out and buy a Muschamp and a copy of the LSU playbook to compete with LSU, a couple of refs wouldn't cost that much. And for those naive posters in here who think it couldn't happen or isn't likely, go on living in your rose colored world.
