It is a real possibility that 11 SEC teams are bowl eligible at season's end. LSU, Alabama, UGA, SC, UK, and Auburn are already eligible. Tennessee, MSU, UF, Vandy, and Arkansas need 1 more win.

As to the thread... I have no idea. I don't think Tennessee runs the table.

I agree, we would beat GA easily.

    Les Miles owes them one.

I agree IF the defense from the first 4 games of the season shows up rather than the defense from the last four games.

I don't wanna play Georgia. I think Moreno would tear us apart the way our defense been playing.

I,m leaning toward SC or Ga, they both seem to have an inside track at this point. Ga looked like they could beat anyone in that Ga/Fl game. But what team would show up...the team we saw this past weekend, or the team that lost to Tenn 35-14. SC on the other hand is a whole different story, with all due "props" to Vandy...how the hell do you lose a home game to those guys after beating UK ans GA??? I,m a tad confused here.

I would not fret over UGA or anyone else in the SEC. Yes, we have struggled a bit defensively, but we are the best team in the SEC. I am not afraid of playing anybody.

Wow this is a crazy year. It's week 9 and Vandy is STILL in the hunt for the East! Granted they would first need to win out, which is unlikely.

Let's look at everything... There will likely be a tie for first place at the end of the race, so I will incorporate division record as well. Current order:

    1. Georgia (4-2, 2-2 East)
    2. UT (3-2, 2-1 East)
    3. Florida (3-3, 2-1 East)
    4. USC (3-3, 2-2 East)
    5. Vandy (2-3, 1-1 East)
    6. Kentucky (2-3, 0-2 East)

Florida, UT, and Vandy each only have 1 East loss, so in the event of a 3-way tie, they have an advantage.

Just for fun, this is how Vandy could win the East:

    1. Vandy wins out, giving Florida and Kentucky their fourth SEC losses, and UT their 3rd.
    2. Georgia loses to Auburn or Kentucky (not unlikely)

This leads to a three-way tie for first with UGA, Vandy, and UT all at 5-3.

    Here is the tiebreaker rules.

UGA 1-1 (Loss to UT, Win over Vandy)
UT 1-1 (Win over UGA, loss to Vandy)
Vandy 1-1 (Win over UT, loss to UGA)

    Vandy 4-1
    UT 3-2
    UGA 3-2

    Vandy wins the East!!
    Go Commies!!
