we didn't exactly come out of the chute firing on all cylinders...miles has come a long way. Miles or Spurrier FTW......Tubby would be stupid
Tubberville With the talent he lost last year and to produce a team that's hanging on the fringe, waiting on todays outcome for a possible return trip to Atlanta is outstanding. Future looks bright for them.
Classic! I don't think anyone is saying Miles isn't a good coach or that he didn't do a solid job this year, especially when you consider the early season distractions he was forced to overcome in the midst of installing new staff members. Assuming LSU beats Arky, I believe it's one of the best performances in the conference. But what Spurrier was able to achieve was remarkable. Little depth, and not much talent outside of Seville newton, Spurrier built a patchwork T-E-A-M out of players that would be - for the most part - scrubs in the LSU program. The term "ressurection" is applicable.
I think fat Phill wins it. Nobody can have a team melt down and fall apart that fast on accident. It takes one hell of a coach to screw up this bad.
The Coach of the Year award has absolutely nothing to do with whose talent you win with. It's what you do with that talent that counts.
 Give the devil his due ... he's won the award often enuf ... and look who's NC shot he stole away with his decision to play Clausen in the second half ... I hate that fat bastid fulmer & TN ... worse part is, his Daddy Spurrier is back.
And the same could be said for Auburn's loss to LSU. Using that kind of logic, Auburn's coaching staff lost that game before the season even started, when they couldn't come up with a kicker that could put it thru the uprights from 40 yards out.
There are some worthy coaches in the SEC. Coach of the year does not go to a coach with a losing record. Miles, Spurrier, or Tubby will be getting it. I vote for Miles.:usaflagwa :laflagwav :geauxtige
