That holds little, if any, water. A player's uniform should be an extension of his body in this game. That is the most ridiculous explanation I've ever heard. The glove is on his hand, isn't it?
It was THE SUPER BOWL. Is there a bigger game, a bigger stage????? Could it be more evident? PS I actually wanted the Steelers to win, but I HATE bad officiating. :angryfire
If the football gods exacted revenge against teams that had amazing no calls and bad calls go their way, we'd be ranked #1, and Auburn's campus would've burnt down by now.
Nobody likes to hear an excuse of the refs blowing a game but what do you do when it occurs weekly and is so blatant? Does anybody have an idea on how to force the SEC to take immediate action? Otherwise, they'll just continue to blow us off and label everyone as a whiner. We need more than one school to voice their opinion. Our players and fans deserve much better than we've received in the last five years. We have the best conference in the nation yet the worst officiating. Without us, the six-figure guys in Birmingham would be looking for another job. If we had a playoff system, you could lose (legit or loss by ref) and still have a shot. Under the BCS, you're SOL. Without the fiasco @ Auburn, we would still have a shot at the title. :angryfire ***and let's move the baseball tourney out of Hoover, AL also***:hihi:
Yeah no kidding. Not one holding penalty, not one offsides penalty, not one interference penalty. The only penalty was one that HAD to be called. Something is wrong with that. I'm just glad we won! :geauxtige
i guess this wouldnt explain the sec review of the call, but may explain how the replay officials got it wrong. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news?slug=jo-replay111006&prov=yhoo&type=lgns ive often wondered what angles the replay officals see. it wasnt easy to see the ut player touch the ball from every angle
