The only good thing that I can credit myles brand for is helping send CRMK to Lubbock where I get to watch him perform his art. Last week I got to see his third technical foul in the 5 years he has been here at TTU. The man is so out of control. With a little luck he will set the all time wins record at home early next year. Yeah, a little luck AND all those kids from Louisiana that he keeps recruiting means an exciting early schedule next year.. It would help SEC basketball if some of those players stayed home, but for the time being, keep sending them to Lubbock.

I don't think the SEC is that far down. UK made it to a great game against Michigan State in the NCAA tournament. But the rest of the league needs to step up. I don't think the rest of the SEC has kept up with the basketball facilities compared to schools in the big ten and acc. You don't need a new arena, but these days in college hoops you need to have your own practice gym, audio-video room to tape games from all across the country and theater style meeting rooms to watch film and a great locker room. You bascially need basketball building like you have football building. You really can't run your program out of the basketball arena anymore. You need your own complex.

Ralph, you're right. You gotta pay to play. If you want to be an elite program in anything, you need fine facilities, and that requires money. If the LSU Basketball program wants to compete with everyone else and be an elite program nationwide, you gotta fork over that cheese.
