quit complaining...LSU wants the best team in the east... i mean honestly... it would be stupid if you did things to attempt to get a team into the national championship game and if we won it all it would have a big * by it with all the what ifs
This was not a conspiracy. The ADs never envisioned UT beating Miami, thus they would have been eliminated. Georgia, contrary to popular opinion is not playing the best in the East. Fla has defeated two of the top teams in the BCS. I don't have to worry about UGA or Fla or Tenn feelings. None of these three have done anything to distinguish themselves to represent the East or not represent. I do believe a vote for Fla would get a lot of interest. Remember, the conference making money is what is important. LSU playing anyone other than UGA is the only chance to have 2 BCS teams. JMO.
Kramer set up the 7th option for this exact reason. He would have gotten Fl. or Tenn. sent to championship game. Georgia, where it is ranked, would have been guaranteed a BSC game where loss at game will cause them to lose guarantee. LSU and one of the other would have also been guaranteed a BCS game, depending upon who won. Now, it may be that only one SEC team is guaranteed a BCS game. Dumb move by the SEC office.
Everything is a conspiracy around here. No respect, were freaking ranked 3rd. We keep winning well keep getting respect. If we win friday and win the following saturday, i think things will fall into place. If not, well go to a decent bowl, should be good road trip regardless.
Re: Kramer set up the 7th option Please explain why the #7 ranked Georgia team would be guaranteed a BCS game and the #8 ranked Tenn team would not?
And let me add this final thought ... the SEC WILL NOT receive an at-large BCS berth. Ohio State and Texas (assuming they beat A&M) will be the two at-large teams...
