Dude, I love conspiracy theories, and such, but you are starting to sound like Alex Jones after he has been up for 3 weeks straight on a meth binge.

i work with a guy that listens to him everyday. he proceeded to tell me his brother, who lives in alabama (shock), has a bunker and stocks up food and ammo, generators and the like.

supa used to talk about art bell who is awesome and the kooks who called in that show and they were more awesome.. but this alex jones dude is pretty close. he must have started out doing this as fear mongering but sounds like he truly believes it now. I tuned in a couple of times and he can turn disney world into a conspiracy. its pretty entertaining stuff.

Well, if the thread title was disprespectful, it was certainly not intentional. I in no way questioned the Navy Seals or their patriotism, professionalism, etc. Nor did I question Pat Tillman's.

There was nothing disrespectful about it or the military.

I am questioning the use of our military by the powers that be in the US gov't.

The US gov't has a history of lying. Why is it unpatriotic to question the official story? If anything the people that founded the country would, in my opinion, want the citizens to be more active in their stance against tyranny.

The population of the US is subjected to so much propaganda they think the US is out in the world making it "safe for democracy". I would be willing to bet you the rest of the world doesn't see it that way.

Why is that? Doesn't it ever occur to you that the US gov't is not obligated to tell you the truth?

But, anyway, Lasalle had it correct. That was what I was saying.....

    Perhaps you should go back

As for Pat's dad, yeah I'm sure he is more than a bit upset. He as the rest of us were told a story that wasn't true. I will concede the floor to my friend AEN to see if he wants to elaborate further beings he has better information on it than I do. I have assumptions as to why things were done the way they were and it involves things you obviously don't understand.

flabengal, Its easy to ask what Tillman's father would say. He lost an exceptional son in in a manner that probably did not pay respect to his sacrifice. He has the right to say whatever he wants. My parents would be devastated if anything happened to me or any of my siblings. Thats expected but regardless of the way he died, he died because he decided to make that sacrifice. No one told him he would never get hurt or be killed. He was a grown man that had a sense of duty ,who before he was ever deployed, new the risks. Thats the difference between most people and Cpl. Tillman. So even though it is an unanswerable question you have to ask yourself what Cpl. Tillman would have to say. Do you claim your life as your own and do what YOU feel you must or do you wake up and take a poll first? I'm not using sarcasm. It's a serious question. Good luck telling a person with the abilities and convictions of a Tillman what to do. Doesnt mean his death was justified but I'm not the one to answer that.

I think Tillman was probably a good man and had wised up to the corruption in the US gov't/military operation in Afghanistan. I don't know what he intended to do but I honestly think he was "silenced" because of it.

I would consider him a hero, really. And the gov't lied about his death. Period.
