It's an anonymous board, we don't care about you. But your internet character is getting a huge ass-whipping and well-deserved.

You should know that the man code on an anonymous board is to not say anything hiding behind your little keyboard that you would not say to a man's face on the street.

He's just being controversial, it seems to be his job here. We need it from time to time or we get boring. There have been times in this off-season when I've been wishing for Tinsley.

martin is just as bad about being disrespectful.

i have a low tolerance for stupidity, no matter what the reasoning. whether its to be controversial, trollish, or just get more hits, when it is the same sort of stupidity over and over, i tend to just update the old ignore list.

and true about martin. but martin isnt 100% brain vomit like the ignored one is.

WOW. Really surprised at this thread but it is in the "free speech alley" right?
Did the initial post seem like a slap in the face......yep. I think most of us have family members serving or some connection to someone putting their life on the line in this steaming **** pile of a war. Everyone should be allowed to speak their mind regardless of how silly it may seem to start a thread like this but I guess if there is a free speech forum, then this is the result. With that freedom to question the circumstances of the death of some of our finest people much less soldiers also comes the freedom of everyone else to rip you a new a-hole. Ive never been one to just shut my mouth and do as I'm told without questioning something that doesnt sit right but I'm also not serving in the military. Of course its natural to question government policy or military action sometimes. Most of us are not in position to fully quantify all the factors that go into our military actions. Our brothers and sisters serving dont have that luxury either. They rely on the chain of command and that chain of command must not be compromised. These SEALS are not just soldiers. These are the best and brightest that we have to offer. Completely selfless and dedicated individuals that have families and are ready at a minutes notice to leave that family to be dropped into a dangerous place in the middle of the night on the other side of the world and accomplish whatever they are there for. Period. They are not blood thirsty macho hollywood types with face tattoos. These are the genuine article. I can only speak for myself but to me, these are the people that remind me what being an American is about. I know this prolly seems a little ra-ra but Thats it. These are trying times on so many levels and its natural to respond to a thread like this with anger but its pointless. I dont know anyone on here personally. I have never had a beer with any of you that I know of. You are voices on the other end of the line and thats ok because there are plenty of people on this forum who's opinions I look forward to hearing but there are always people that dont think the same way and I'm sure there are plenty of servicemen and women that have questions and get upset about the purpose of their campaigns but they still do their jobs. flabengal, I'm not roasting you man. I come from a family of marines. Proud Marines. The dying breed type. You could have thought out your statement first. It just came off as flaky, baseless and disrespectful. You may not be that way at all. Just sayin. Doesnt mean questions dont ever need to be asked but I'm not sure what the point of the post was other than to be inflammatory. I dont take every news report about military action too seriously because we dont know ****. I went thru a stage when I questioned everything......everything was a conspiracy. Most of it was youthful ignorance. At the end of the day you are either on the Home team or the Away team. When we wake up tomorrow we still get to be Americans. Can anyone on this board imagine being prouder of anything else? other than being a Tiger Fan??

    Go Tigers

I think the most offensive part of this whole thread is how Seals being killed in action, dubbed as being 86'd. Those people are someone's father, husband, brother. Conspiracy theories are actually really fun to talk about, but even my paranoid ass doesn't for a second think that this is some covert mission to silence those involved in the Bin Laden thing, if that is what the original poster was getting at.

Yeah regardless of what he meant, the title of the thread was probably the most disrespectful part.

    "Brain vomit"

    Nice. You're a class act.

I never got any response on Pat Tillman's dad's opinion. Would anyone like to post that? I want to see what "ass clown" is going to accuse Tillman's own dad of being disrespectful.

And as far as any debates go, Red....these aren't really debates, they are more like food fights. How many real debates have ever included such illuminating phrases like azz clown, brain vomit or even idiot?

Seriously, have you ever heard those phrases in an actual debate? I haven't and I haven't spent as much time in a university as you have but I been there for plenty debates. They can actually be fun and educational....but they have to be conducted with some semblence of order.

These are not debates and one of the reasons is the general lack of class in the discourse that is allowed here, which is a shame.

So as far as debates go if you want to have a genuine debate I will be happy to...but shouting people down with insults does not add to the quality of the board and for the life of me I do not understand why it is allowed.....

Lastly, I was not "trolling"....I saw the news on the Drudge Report and thought it seemed odd.
