I don't agree with picking Auburn's QB over LSU or the LB's of Auburn over LSU. Everything else seems about accure. No biggie, in just over 14 hours now all questions will be answered.

For some reason all of the voters conveniently forgot how Auburn got routed earlier this year in the Capital One game against....Wisconsin... when they put together their rankings. Reading the recap from that game makes me feel better about our chances tomorrow:

The 10 1/2 -point underdog Badgers (10-3) were in control throughout against the Tigers (9-3), who flopped after ending the regular season with wins over Georgia and Alabama.

Wisconsin amassed 311 yards and a 17-0 lead in the first half, leaving little doubt that Alvarez would get to celebrate another big win.

Williams also had four carries for 35 yards as the Badgers dismantled a defense that came in allowing only 294 yards per game.

"We didn't have the answer," Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville said. "We never got anything going. Offensively, we couldn't make a first down."

The Tigers were held scoreless in the first half for the first time this season and finished with only 236 yards. Wisconsin gained 548.

The Badgers didn't resemble a defense that came in giving up 432.5 yards per game, a nice transition for their next coach, too.

Under constant pressure, Cox was 15-of-33 for 137 yards with an interception on the second play of the game. Kenny Irons, the SEC's leading rusher, managed only 88 yards on 22 carries and fumbled on the Tigers' second series.

Actually, it means quite a bit. Rewind to last Friday, when LSU was just one of a bunch of good top teams, pretty nondescript on the national scale.

All it took was a good ass-whipping to a Pac 10 team that most media types saw as being the next "close call" (like Az St and Ore St.) for LSU to get some eyes opened nationally.

Beat Auburn convincingly---not by a point, not after 5 missed field-goals, but 2003-season convincingly---and LSU is as high as #3 (yes, I'm calling my Michigan shot in South Bend tomorrow) come Sunday night, breathing down SC's neck for #2.

THAT'S why it's a "big deal"...hell, I'm giddy as all get out that it's all AU, all the time in the press.

Yes, us beating Auburn is important but who the pundits pick to win means absolutely nothing. I hope we beat them down like we did in 2003 too and just because someone picked us to lose doesn't automatically mean that we are going to.
