I think there was more to it than this, but this is pretty much a large part of the decision. Gonzales should come in and have an immediate affect on recruiting. Hopefully he can snag a few that we have our eyes on from down there.
BHelm, whats the chances that LSU just decided to go with Gonzales because he could make an immediate impact, and they are still talking with Tolbert about joining after the Bills season? Also any idea of who will be replacing Stud if he is for sure going to Memphis? And should Crowton be worried that he is about to be replaced?

talked to a friend of mine who is a Florida alum and huge fan and said that he is indeed a great recruiter and a solid coach and will be missed I asked him if the boards are in meltdown mode and he said no they are numb
damn, azzanzi is a great coach from what i've read of him! it doesn't take urban long at all! :lol: so are we taking florida's sloppy seconds? looks as if meyer already had a coach in place. maybe i'm just thinking too deeply into things.
