Isn't Rabalais the writer who wrote the "WHEN PIGS FLY!" article about LSU/Bama that LSU won and showed him up?( He was reporting for a Bama paper then) I don't know if he is a Tiger Fan, he usually doesn't sound like it.
I'd be willing to bet that he is only voting USC #2 to avoid controversy, and will vote LSU #2 after we win the seccg. I don't think that we deserve to be #2 until we win out. I'm sure that most of the sports writers don't think we will win out, and see no reason to put us ahead of usc. Should we win out, our chances of passing usc in at least one poll are probably pretty good.

I will say this. If LSU wins out, including the SEC CG, and finishes 12-1, I will rank them No. 2 in the final regular season poll. That's because LSU will have had to play one more game than either USC or Ohio State, no matter what they do. Until then it doesn't matter all that much because the final poll is what counts. Same for the BCS. Now, if LSU under that scenario say went to the Fiesta Bowl and won impressively while Oklahoma played and lost to a No. 3 team in my poll (USC or Ohio State) in the Sugar, would I vote LSU No. 1? Well ... Let's see them get there first. But as for ranking LSU No. 2, be patient. As I said, it doesn't really matter until the end and then I have a pretty good idea of what I would do. Why? Should a team that has victories over higher ranked opponents have to prove itself over and over to finally get the respect it deserved 3 weeks prior? Why wait til the end of the season to finally vote in a manner consistant with the way it should been voted to begin with, given the true and honest facts of SOS! Simply put USC has not played the calibur opponent that LSU has!! I know, I know, you bleeding heart liberals are going to argue that USC's SOS is harder than that of LSU's- but that brings up one interesting question; How many of you honestly think that USC could survive the rigors of an SEC schedule unscathed like LSU has. If you're honest with your answer then you also know that LSU is the team that should be voted in the #2 position now. I find tremendous fault with the heavily biased (so called) sports writers that don't have the balls to call it like it is.

They gave LSU a run for their money last year when we won the "Mythical" Recruiting National Championship. They are the real deal and could have gone through the SEC this year "SCATHED" once ... just like LSU. Their Achilles heel is a Passing Defense ranked in the Bottom Half of College FB. They have size and speed to Die for, just like LSU. This USC Team will OWN THE PAC-10 & compete/play for NCs the next decade ... I really believe LSU & USC will play for a NC soon.

In the interests of jounalistic integrety a voter should vote for teams according to who he feels is the better team. Rabalais voted for TCU in the top 10 before they lost. Does he honestly believe that TCU would have ever beaten teams lower rated than the Horned Frogs at the time like Florida, Purdue and Washington State or Arkansas or even Alabama or Auburn. No self respecting person with a vote would ever place a team he knows has no chance against another team ahead of them. If journalistic integrety prevailed among the voters of both polls and the computer rankings TCU would have never cracked the Top 30. I think these buttheads follow some kind of politically correct formula. After Miami and Virginia Tech lost a couple of games each TCU was way ahead of both of them. Would any rational "voter" who would back either team with his money have "voted" for TCU over Miami or V Tech with no line? Either one would have been a 17 point favorite and likely would have covered. Rabalais and the rest of the poll voters know this as well as we do so by giving a high rank to a team that they know is not worthy of it they are perpetuating journalistic fraud. Sure, there are a lot of voters and media people who really believe that USC is better than LSU but I don't think Rabalais is one of them unless he is uploading his columns from the LA Times.
ramah You are a legend in your own mind. No way does SC make it through the SEC with just 1 loss this sesason. They lose to Fla, Ga, and Ole piss by your own and twisted admission (only problem is USC's pass defense). You sir are full of shi# when it comes to football and you can't even add the 2 simple prime numbers it takes to acheive the number two.
