Actually I think there's one other school that complained to that level--USL after the regional where they bleached their hair. And there's a common thread. The Auburn and USL players both acted like thugs on the field, so they needed to divert attention from their teams' conduct by making LSU fans out to be hooligans.

I think I have already explained why I think LSU fans gripe about Auburn. You don't expect to ever lose to us. YOu are favored every year, and more often than not lately (the last 4 years) you have not been successful. This is not a dig - this is factual. You have been favored in 3-4 games since 1999 - and only one once. This is irritating to you. You see Auburn as inferior, yet lately, we have your number. Combine that with CTT - who has done things that tick you off. CTT who is 5-1 against you as a head coach. Including two maddening victories over you as the head coach of Ole Miss . .and OLE MISS team that was talent depleated and on probation. For every complaint you can make about CTT - I can give you a reason it happend. You think CTT has no class, I think CTT isn't afraid to stand up for his players and fans. You say he runs up the score, I say it was redeption for cheap shots made by LSU players during the game. You say we stomped on your eye - I saw the players wanted to do it in response to fan behavior. We can go these rounds over and over again . . and it appears we will. Look at 2002 - what happened in that game that would anger anyone? Nothing - it was a clean game, with great fan behavior on both sides. In the end, CTT made two blatant attempt to prevent Auburn from running up the score . . hmmm . .I wonder if they're related? Let's see . . both teams play with class throughout the game . .all fans act with class throughout the game . .and lo and behold - Auburn ends the game with class . .hmmm . I noticed that NO ONE came up with a valid response for why Auburn folks complain about LSU fans but no other. Even though - I answered yours - I have explained why LSU fans have issues with Auburn - somebody PLEASE explain to me why Auburn fans would make these things up about LSU only. I am patiently waiting.
Wow chuck. Those are big words that will be refuted in due time. If it wasn't 3 am i would do it. But I'll give it a start.... Any time a coach reacts to the FANS behavior it is absurd. If you go to an opposing stadium, the fans are supposed to be a little mean towards to you, that is college football in the South. To take the FANS behavior to the field is absurd. The players are the ones being embarassed, not the fans. And to even say that your head coach is paying attention to the fans' behavior during the game is rediculous. I would hope for your sake that he is paying attention to the game and not whether or not the fans were booing his team. Give me a break. Chuck, the dam is broken, get ready for the flood.

Chuck, The fact that Tubby has our number lately has nothing to do with it. I think most LSU fans will admit that he is a good coach. We just think he has no class and as a result neither do his players. Sending your special teams on the field at halftime while the other school's band is still performing? Yep, that sounds like defending your players and fans to me! You got us there. What do you call the 4th down run last year with less than a minute left. Looks like he was trying to run it up to me before he decided to kneel the ball. Let your players do something to retaliate towards the fans that you know will bring a flag before the game, hello there have cases of this before between florida and florida state. Really now, Tubby came up with a better excuse than that. The only classy thing i have heard him do is actually send an "apology" to the LSU Band Department for what happened. But then he only sent one. Didn't pick up the phone to call us. He sent it on paper. Really sincere don't you think.
Some of the exaggerated complaints of alleged activity by Auburn fans after the Duval/band game played a part in all of this also. I'm not talking about the van thing either. More of the "cups of urine were thrown on me" stuff. If some of that really happened, get law enforcement involved and stop whining on internet boards. I think part of Tubby's restraint last year against LSU stemmed from the backlash of everyone (including AU fans) for the Miss St. incident. Also, I don't think ANY LSU fans look at Auburn as inferior. ULL and Tulane would qualify for that category. I will say that this rivalry brings out the worst in both sides but I think it's up to all of the decent fans to keep the hotheads and instigators in line. I'll stick up for an Barner this year if an LSU fan crosses the line.

I have no problem with "running up the score". sort of. If you're up 30-0 with 1 minute to play, you kneel the ball. Now, if the defense calls time out, run a play. There is no reason to call time out down by 5 scores without the ball. The job of the offense is to score more than the other team. Why should the team that's winning give the ball back to the other team just because they're up? As a Saints fan, I wish they'd do that more often. How many times have the Saints taken a big lead only to "not run up the score" only to choke?????? Keep scoring until late in the 4th quarter. 50-0 counts the same as 49-48. Still a loss. As far as the "cups of piss". They must have mistaken Bud Light as the "piss". How can real Tiger fans drink Bud light? Next Tiger game, check the drinks of the ladies...90% will be drinking bud light. That's why I call it girls beer.
Here's why your explanation of why LSU fans gripe about AU flat out fails. Arkansas has beaten LSU 2 out of the last 3 years. The last lost kept us out of the SEC championship game. If your theory is correct then LSU fans should be irritated about losing to a perceived inferior team. Arkansas fans should be making broad accusations about LSU's fans behavior. LSU should be complaining about Arkansas fans. This is not happening. Certainly, not to the extent between LSU and AU. So I'm still waiting for a valid response from you. You're the first AU fan that I've heard say that LSU's fan behavior was good at last years game. In fact, I've heard many AU fans say otherwise. Could it be the AU propaganda machine is still in motion?
