And by the way, Texas and Texas A & M (and other Texas schools) don't have alumni associations. They have associations of former students--but you don't have to be a former student to join. My husband's best friend, a lawyer who graduated from SMU undergrad and law school, is a tried-and-true Aggie.

It is all about where your heart lies. Believe me, I've thought many times since moving to Texas that it would be easier on me if I could just pull for Texas, A & M, and the rest of the clowns covered in Dallas.

I can NOT do it! It's because I'm a Tiger! My parents are Tigers, also, but they didn't go to LSU, although my dad turned down a football and baseball scholarship offer from Ole Miss in 1960 because he just couldn't bear to play against the Tigers. He ended up at Southern Miss, instead.

I'm only 14. I can't be an LSU grad. But, I'm still an LSU fan.

Your team is your heart! Although I am an LSU alum in BR for undergrad and NO for grad, I am still a Saints fan (even though I never lived in NO until I went to graduate school), and through marriage, am a devoted Yankee fan and Syracuse BasketBall fan! I also root for the Carolina Panthers, primarily because when the team started out they had so many former Saints players that I went to school with at LSU! I am also a Carolina Hurricanes hockey fan - yes since their inception as a team.

On the way down to the Sugar Bowl, my husband and I converted 2 undecided corporate ticket holders to root for LSU. They are both Carolina grads, but were purchasing and wearing LSU T shirts last WE and yelling Tiger Bait!

So, next time say - I am proud to be a fan of the NATIONAL CHAMPS!!! - I bleed P and G (and don't let some dumbazz worry your heart about your fandom!)

What about fans too young to be in college?

What would those jackass UGA fans say then? Is one not allowed to cheer for LSU when they are kids. I'm 40 now and have always been an LSU fan.

Don't believe a word they said. I have a feeling a lot of uga fans didn't go to college, or high school for that matter.

Oh, and before y'all get on me for being a Syracuse Bball fan, that is of course in addition to being an ALL SPORTS LSU Fan! I swam and ran cross country track for LSU and could not be more proud of every sport competing for the Tigers!

I was born in Alexandria, lived and visited family reunions in Port Barre. When I was 13 we moved to hattiesburg, ms. I took tiger football with me. I graduated and went to college at USM, but I was only going to school, because deep inside I was and always will be an LSU Tiger

I watch every LSU game with the same group of 15 to 20 guys ranging in age from 17 to 79. Last Sunday night we were hooting and hollering and hugging and crying and dancing for pure joy. Not one of us went to LSU.

    LSU FAN?

Dude, I'm a DIEHARD OLE MISS fan. But I had rather be a Tiger fan than a Georgia graduate. Was he a Ga. graduate? If so, was that because Mommy and Daddy had the money to pay his expenses? Asking such insulting questions makes me wonder if he was a high school grad. That sounds like a rich punk. Probably only went to Ga. to party. By the way. What is the name of that dog they beat into submission to be a mascot? UGA? I know that dog. He is from the Lee family. The rebels just call him UGLY. Did anyone else see him jump at an Auburn player as the Auburn player ran out of bounds? The dog looked like it wanted to bite. I wish the Auburn player had field goaled his a$$ for about 60 yards. Never seen a bulldog with false teeth before. By the way-----they want to get rid of Col. Reb---but to the best of my knowledge, he never tried to attack or even bite anyone.
