Did you notice DD's rating of the team for the last game?

    QB: B
    RB: B+????

I love DD, he's a great guy, but I think he's a little hyped up right now and not thinking clearly. If JL can get a B rating, why aren't the RB's at least an A or A+?

Just to clarify for the board. Randall never signed a LOI with Oregon. He was told before National Signing Day that he wasn't headed to Oregon even after getting cleared by NCAA Clearinghouse.

Randall is a bigger kid than Shepard, with a huge arm and tons of up side. He has the chance to possibly develop into a QB that plays on Sundays. Shepard does not have the size to play on Sundays. Shepard would have been fun to watch in college as a QB, but if he wants to play on Sundays it was not at QB. I think Shepard made the correct position change. Who knows, IF Mett and Rivers are as good as advertised, Randall may have to make that decision as well, but I think Randall will compete for the QB job and be very productive for the Tigers.

This statement is a bit ambiguous.

Who told him? His dad, his high school coach, Oregon, the Greyhound bus driver?

Neither will play and both will redshirt, IMO. Unless injuries strike (which, I pray they don't)

Thanks for the clarification, I was fuzzy on the situation, I remember now that on LOI day, all Duck recruits were on board except Randall, who they said had some sort of a snafu.

Any clues on what the acedemic issues were, it was cleared up pretty quickly. Relatedly, any ideas on why Kelly decided to pass on Randall.
It's still an open mystery in Oregon, the kid's credentials looked good.

All we hear is, "can't talk about recruits, until they sign their LOI". (Which actually should have been a clue for me).

I have no reason not to wish him well, hope he's happy at LSU, he seems like a classy kid.

If there's not a problem that scared Kelly and Oregon coaches off with Randall, perhaps it wasn't him at all and possibly another recruit? There's been some crazy things happen in recruiting with kids, their folks, and the potential for playing time.. we've been put in tough spots by recruits before. Who knows, though. Pure speculation on my part.
