so non believers can go to heaven? sweet. because faith is based on nothing, any claim to understand it is just as good as any other. i cant go to jk rowling's house and tell her she screwed up her harry potter book, because that is not how it really happened. she is the one making it up. and so it is with religion. it is all made up, so nobody can question it. you are in no position to tell me what i do not understand about faith, because my interpretation of faith is just as valid as yours. and that, in a nutshell, is why religion is so dangerous and terrible.
Does your religion not tell you that murder is wrong? It is subjective. I disagree with your stance. You can't prove you are right. It's called an OPINION. Get over yourself. You are blinded to the short commings of your own religion. If you truley believe those religions are false, I see no reason for you to believe your own is any better.
Your logic and reason, as well as your evolved feelings should tell you that. Doesn't matter what my faith says. You first, hotshot. You like all others who deride Christianity have no idea what you are talking about. Also, learn to type and spell. Bring any so-called examples on, I'd love to refute them.
if you are born to christian parents in a predominantly christian nation, then of course christianity is right. he doesnt need to get over himself because he isnt arguing for absolute truth through faith. you are the one claiming to be right by divine inspiration. the rest of us are doing our best to figure out what is best through reason.
The problem with all of your arguments is none of you have studied all of these religions before making your claims - which are just the issue of selfish young people who want to do whatever they want and not have to answer to anyone but themselves.
no amount of studying will make me have "faith". faith is the enemy of enlightenment and education. faith is, by it own admittance, the belief in things for no reason. i am not sure why you do not just admit that you have faith and do not care for reason. thats what religion is. god will reward you handsomely for it. maybe not with the 70 virgins the muslim gets, but i am sure something else nice will be presented to you upon your death. also, i understand religions. they are my hobby. i am obsessed with religion.
Well, I think martin pretty much covered anything I was going to say, so I'll save my rebuttal. I'm also unsure of where you got this idea that both martin & I are uninformed when it comes to religion. As far as I know, very few people think about religion near as much as either of us. I attented Methodist confirmation classes & was brought up in the catholic church, so I know plenty about your religion. PS: Thanks for the neg rep, I hope I didn't hurt your feelings.
