Hahaha. I've got to wonder if other people question your 157 IQ as much as I do. False Religions? Which ones are correct? The ones you were brought up to believe in? The ones that you think are the best? Well excuse me if I feel like making my own opinion on the subject.
Prove it. You believe in God, fine by me. Not everyone does & even if they do there ideas about him won't necessarily be the same as yours. Some people believe that God approves of murder. Don't assume that doesn't include Christianity - because it obviously does. I mean, wasn't it the catholics running around killing people that didn't agree with them? Oh wait, that was only those crazy Islam people, right? :dis: Thus, they believe in God & don't have a problem with murder & presumably abortion. Even if God is "the ultimate arbiter of right & wrong", let me know the next time he calls you on your cell & tells you that abortion is wrong.
Perhaps this is true, but since God does not speak to us, and we have no way of knowing what he expects from us, we must be the arbiters of our own moral values.
For me, it comes down to whether it is actually a child or still just a part of the mother. Most points in the pregnancy are subjective, some aren't. 9 months pregnant is not subjective - that is a child. At what point that part of the mother becomes a child, I don't know & that's what makes abortion such a tough subject. I don't like that people think just because their idea of God says it's wrong, means that it's wrong for others. I use logic to say that murder is wrong, not God. Logic tells me that killing a child is murder. We can debate all we want about what constitutes that child though.
I do not have the divine ability to judge you on whether or not you will go to hell. Having said that, it is obvious from your posts that you know nothing of the faith which you deride at every opportunity. is just one example. ok...
To start off with, the "religions" which claim to be based off certain standards yet preach and teach contradictions are false. Religions which are led by humans and teach obvious evil are false. It isn't at all subjective. It is a child from the point of fertilization/conception. I have never used my faith as an argument against abortion. Simply that it is murder and that is wrong.
This is why people have mixed feelings and why there is gray area. At what point between a single cell and birth does a human being form? God only knows. People can only wonder.
