I guess those Ivy league undergraduate and graduate degrees that Bush has are just not as good as they are cracked up to be. Clinton never got 50% of the vote in his two elections. If a third party keeps popping up each year we will rarely see anyone get a majority. Perot helped Clinton both times while Nadar helped Bush in 2000. Dean will not get the Reagan democrats or the dixicrats. He is to liberal for them. Even with his faults Clark has a better chance to get them. This is not a quagmire. War is war. It is not pretty. A few of the so call experts thought we would still be fighting a full fledge war right now with a lot more deaths than we have had. I am not happy with any soldiers dying, but I do not see any Democrat including Clark leading a team that could do any better. Whether you were for the war or against you cannot think it would be best to pull out before the new Gov is set up and ready. Heck even the French have admitted that would be a mistake. I know you and some of your friends have had it tough down in Houston, but the economy is hardly questionable. Consumer reports are picking up as well, which along with jobs are usually last to come around. This with a year to go and a few more tax breaks starting in Jan. Any how back to LA regardless of what you think of Bush's Ivy League credentials I will vote for someone with brains and ideas for President in 2004. Just like I would have voted for the candidate with the brains and the ideas in the LA governors race. (Hint both are Republicans)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Same Old Wesley Clark: Ask Clinton's Sec DoD and Chairman Joint Chief of Staff what they think of him Howard Dean: Mr. flip-flop, and how is Governor of Vermont > Governor of Texas? John Kerry: Him riding the motorcycle on Leno's show is even more funny than Dukakis in the tank
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Same Old The Texas Governor is probably the weakest of the governors in the union. Yeah, the motorcycle and hair would definitely disqualify Kerry. That's something to think about compared to George W. Bush's concain riddled past. And yes, George W. Bush inhaled.
It is the haircuts. He could feed a small nation on what he pays for them. Yet it does not help. He is out anyway. No one is donating money to him anymore, and I do not think his boss can use her "Republican" inheritance.
That is my fear. Although, Gore managed to win the popular vote, and he was a terrible campaigner. If the Democrats focus on the war in Iraq because it is destroying the delicate environment of the endangered Falujah sand toad, then Bush will win every state. However, being in the minority can refocus one's party. I think the Dems will have a plan rather than just bitch about the Republicans this time around.
Hillary Clinton will not enter the 2004 race. I'll even wager money on it. I don't think there is a chance in hell that she could win (not this time). We are still very early in the process. The Dems will definitely close ranks once a nominee is chosen (probably Dean). Even the republican nomination was in question in 2000 at this point because of McCain.
tuwho are you calling hillary clinton a liar again? she has said literally hundreds of times she will definitely not run! if i cant believe hillary then who can i believe!?
Well, I'm a struggling small business owner, but I think I can manage a friendly bet of fifty bucks ($50) or an equivalent gift certificate to an LSU gift shop in Baton Rouge or New Orleans. How about it?
