But the Saints defense was awesome today. Aaron Brooks was the only reason the Falcons hung in at all.

Is it really possible that LSU and the Saints won in the same weekend?

If they ever win a championship in the same year the world
will probably come to an End.

    :)

I watched the Saints fall behind 20-0 and then my electricity went out. Somebody had run into a phone pole and knocked out the power in my whole neighborhood until after dark. The Saints have the fans right where they want them. They are 5-5 and in the thick of the playoff race with teams like Green Bay, Tampa Bay, the Giants, Minnesota, Washington and San Francisco. If the season ended today 8-2 Carolina, 7-3 Dallas, Philadelpia, Seattle and St. Louis along with the 6-4 Vikings who have lost 4 in a row after starting the season 6-0 would be the NFC playoff teams. Carolina and the Eagles are on a roll so expect them to win their divisions. Seattle and St. Louis are playing solid football so I expect them to be there. That leaves 7-3 Dallas and 6-4 Minnesota to stumble out of playoff contention for the remaining two spots in the NFC. With the way Parcells has the Cowboys playing I expect them to hold on to at least the 5th playoff slot in the NFC. That leaves the Vikings who are in a four game slide to fall out of playoff contention. If they do that means a mediocre Green Bay will win the NFC North leaving no playoff spots available for the Saints, the Bucs, the Skins, Giants, and 49ers unless the Cowboys go on a losing streak. It will probably come down to the Saints needing to beat the Cowboys the last game of the season to get the last wild card spot and they will find some new and unique way to blow the game as only the Saints can do.
