Possible corner-turning win tonight, at least as far as the defense is concerned. Only one TO, but they put good pressure on the QB and never gave up anything big until the issue was settled. Hope Lattimore is OK, thankfully he's got the bye week now to get healthy. The light is definitely coming on for Marcus Davenport.
DPort is going to be another DeMarcus Ware. A total beast and maybe even befor the season is over. I liked the way the secondary stepped up after Lattimore and PJ Williams went out but really the Skins O hand scored a srecomd half TD this year until the 4th quarter.
If Smith continues to play like that, Mr. Ginn will be looking for another team next year. I wish they wudda let Drew get 500 there, but I guess they figured it would kind of be showing them up if he got the record and 500th TD in the same game. Hope you're right. We really need the pass rush to help out our secondary, like they did tonight. I know we were missing Lattimore, but we got lucky on a couple of plays where Smith just missed people. Even on the pick, Hardee was beaten badly and if Smith sees it sooner, it's a TD. But by the time he did, the pressure forced him to throw off his back foot and the ball took forever to get there, making it an easy pick. Since Drew didn't get number 500 on the ensuing drive, I wish Hardee would have completed the pick/6. Great sign because we need someone else on the D-line to step up. Cam can't do it all, even though he's only one sack behind JJ Watt (and his brother TJ) for the lead league. Was really hoping Okefor would be that guy, but he hasn't really done much coming off injury. Rankins has shown flashes. If he and Davenport both turn it up, we in bihness.
