    Cam Jordan had a couple of T shirts he wore during pro bowl week. One said Blow whistles not games and the other said Make calls not apologies.

    Jamal Adams was named the defensive MVP.

    @uscvball remembering our discussion after the game on whether the Rams have a meaningful, enthusiastic fan base. Days out from the LA Rams' first Super Bowl in about 40 years, and Nathan Ferro of the LA Times tweets today that the top six most viewed online stories for the paper today are about the Lakers, Dodgers and USC.

    Lots to conclude about that. They haven't been the LA Rams for all those 40 years. And as a follow up, he also said, "in fairness, the Lakers have the Anthony Davis trade rumors, Dodgers fans are befuddled the team doesn't seem to be making a run at Bryce Harper and USC, well, has more drama these days than a Lifetime flick."

    USC has been without an OC since Tee Martin got fired. After the failed KK episode, fans have been edgy all weekend as it appears we are making a run at Graham Harrell. Saturday, it appeared to be a scrubbed launch, then he was out here on Sunday and people thought an announcement was imminent, as of this morning, we are all still waiting.

    And another tweet from Fenno....
    "In spite of my rabbit trail on today's web traffic, the lazy national narrative that L.A. doesn't have a sizable, passionate base of Rams supporters is, well, lazy. L.A. is a football town ... and a baseball town ... and a basketball town ... and a hockey town and so on."

    And Fenno acknowledged "a good perspective" from an LA native...
    "This stuff just takes time. When you were gone for a generation, like the Rams were, there's some building that needs to happen. Winning/being in a SB helps, of course. But those other fan bases have seen a lot while the Rams were away."

    But I'm surprised that many showed up yesterday. It was 77 and sunny yesterday...in January. Most folks I know were out taking advantage. It's worth repeating...the Rams left in 1994. They came back just a few years ago. You spend 22 years away, you can't expect the fan base to be popping over night.

    As for the internet traffic...the Rams left town, the game is 6 days away. What is there to read about?

    Telling the full story means it was really 80 degrees yesterday, not 77. But that is specific to the space between Irvine and Hollyweird. South OC weather is almost always perfect, so they say...
