I have way too much familiarity with Fresno. The only good memories are my many trips into Yosemite, water skiing at Shaver, and snow skiing at Sierra Summit. I was there quite a bit in the early to mid-80's. Of all the places in CA to live, I wouldn't pick the SJV either. Big Bear, that's about it.
I very much enjoyed my time in New Orleans. If my daughter ends up going to school in the Southeast, I'll be back.
I grew up in fairly small agricultutal area so the San Joaquin was ok by me. I hated the biggest cities in Cali.
Mike Thomas reminds us in a tweet tonight that his fine for pulling out a cell phone was more than Robey-Coleman's! R-C now says he will just pay the fine rather than appeal.
I meant that no one in california is from california. When i say no one, i don't mean literally no one, but almost. A friend of mine moved to san diego years ago. She came back to visit and I went pick her up in new orleans. We're driving back to lafayette and stop in gonzales to eat at chili's. It's football season, so everyone is wearing Saints and LSU gear. She says "It's weird to see everyone wearing the same team clothes. So many people in san diego are from somewhere else."
The Rams used bracket coverage against him. I wouldn't characterize that as, "Michael couldn't get open vs. Talib"...
