WWL caller this morning said the CFL allows booth overrules of the refs. Don't know how far that extends, but I think the NFL's "we're all about safety" mantra would be enhanced if they would allow the booth to call helmet to helmet penalties. They missed two yesterday; one was the infamous no call, the other took Josh Hill out of the game with a confirmed concussion, which is exactly what they say they are trying to police.
I agree. The past few weeks of the season, and certainly the 2 playoff games, he didn't have the same oomph to his passes.
He turned 40 last Tuesday. Going downhill fast. Even with the blown call Saints win if Brees makes a couple of throws that should have been TDs.
It would have been a great story. The most prolific passer in NFL history at the end of his career plays in the Super Bowl at age 40. It would have been a game for the ages.

I noticed the same thing for a while now. I wonder if he was hurt at some point and just tried playing through the pain. Either that, or he wore down as the season progressed. With the exception of a handful of plays, it seems like everything in the passing game was underneath.
