Oh don’t get me wrong I think the rule is stupid and I think they were both catches, but according to the rule, you have to complete the process even if it’s you that is lunging for the ground and not being taken to the ground. I think with replay something needs to be done about the slow motion. I can see using slow mo when we are talking about a spot or in bounds or out of bounds. But with calls like late hits or targeting or something like that, slow motion makes it look a lot worse than it is. This stuff is happening bang bang.
I think that's reasonable. The catch rules have become way too dependent on replay. Put it in the ref's hands and leave it there
