It looks like he moved past his bad year last year, playing ok this year. Sean Payton just came out and said they had good information on him from the other Ohio state guys with the team and their evaluation of him from the draft. Sometimes guys just don't fit on a team, hopefully he was just with the wrong group. Also being on a bad team can bring the worst out of people, lets hope being on a great team will change that for him.
Even if the Cardinals were willing to trade him (they're not), it would have taken a miracle to get him.

I’m optimistic about Eli. New setting, hopefully better coaching, and familiar teammates. He’s 6’1” and was drafted 10th overall pick. Lots of potential.
