the rookie from Kansas St. Josh Freeman. But it was Leftwich who started the season, then Josh Johnson, now its Freeman, who was the Bucs first round draft pick.

The experts often compare Josh Freeman to JaMarcus Russell if that tells you anything.

that is who i would compare him to also, physically, not cheeseburger physically, but arm strength and height. I think Freeman has a better head on his shoulders, and also never had the talent around him that JR had.

Missing 5 defensive starters and a 6th one just returning after 3 missed games makes a huge difference. The Saint's have a good group of starters, but they don't have a lot of quality depth. The defensive backfield has been the strength of the D. The team may struggle more than usual until they get some of those starters back.

Sharper will play Sunday (although I suspect Usama Young sees the field quite a bit) and that will help a lot. He is the leader in that backfield and will get us straightened out this Sunday.

We should have Tampa in a lot of 2nd and 3rd and longs as they do not run the ball well. With Fujita and Ellis back, I expect that to continue.

According to nola.com, Sharper and Ellis both practiced on a limited basis today. From what I'm reading, it sounds like the old-style of reporting would be:

    Tracy Porter: out

    Lance Moore, Jabari Greer: doubtful

Sedrick Ellis, Darren Sharper, Reggie Bush: questionable

    Jonathan Goodwin: probable
