    Must be looking for a payday only. The raiders sucked last year and look to be even worse this season.

    nola.com is reporting we've signed Cecil Newton, Jr., brother of Cam Newton. He's a center who had a cup of coffee with the Jags last year. No confirmation from the front office.

    Prematurely gray. He was in Payton's first draft class; only about 28.

    That explains the hair. But what about being chased down by a statue like Sam Bradford and needing an oxygen mask afterwards...? :confused:

    Scout.com ranked four of the available DTs in free agency as 5-stars. the Saints have now signed 2 of those 4 in Franklin and Rogers

    Saints also signed another DL from Tennessee in DE Turk Mcbride. he's just entering his prime at 26 years old, and he had 5 sacks last year (more than any of our DEs had) while only playing 2nd string in Detroit's 2-deep rotation at DE at both RDE and LDE (Lion fans weren't happy to lose him). last year, he also had 3 forced fumbles, 4 tackles for loss, and 33 tackles.

    McBride is a former 2nd Round pick. at his combine/pro day:

    --he weighed in at 277 lbs, bigger than Pro Bowlers Tamba Hali (275), Dwight Freeney (266), Jared Allen (265), Justin Tuck (265), Terrell Suggs (257), Elvis Dumervil (257), John Abraham (252), Trent Cole (236) and Robert Mathis (235).... Julius Peppers (283) and Mario Williams (295) were bigger

    --he ran a 1.61 ten-yard-dash, better than Pro Bowlers DeMarcus Ware(1.62), Jared Allen (1.68), Elvis Dumervil (1.68). Mario Williams ran a 1.60. the following didn't have a time: Dwight Freeney, Tamba Hali, John Abraham, Julius Peppers, Terrell Suggs, Robert Mathis, Justin Tuck

    --he did 30 reps in the 225 bench press, better than Pro Bowlers Dwight Freeney (28), DeMarcus Ware (27), Justin Tuck (24), Clay Matthews (23), Tamba Hali (18), Trent Cole (15), Jared Allen (13). he was tied by Elvis Dumervil (30) and beat by Mario Williams (35). no numbers for John Abraham, Julius Peppers, Terrell Suggs, Robert Mathis

    --he ran a 7.10 in the 3-cone, better than Pro Bowlers Jared Allen (7.11), Mario Williams (7.21), Tamba Hali (7.28), Justin Tuck (7.33). he was beat by Trent Cole (6.98), Clay Matthews (6.90) and DeMarcus Ware (6.85). no numbers for Dwight Freeney, John Abraham, Julius Peppers, Terrell Suggs, Robert Mathis, Elvis Dumervil
