Good post, TE. CB'66 is talking out of his ass because his mouth knows better. The Ace of Spades has now been trumped, and from what I hear, he's being EXTREMELY cooperative...more so than anyone imagined. This is VERY bad news for CB'66 and his ilk, because it means that Saddam can be induced into talking...telling us where the WMD went. Once we get that info, that last weak little piece of ammo that they thought they had against Mr. Bush, i.e., that he lied, blows up right in their faces. Add to this the fact that the leading Democrat contender as of now appears to be Howard the Duck, and 2004 appears top be little more than a rehash of Reagan-Mondale '84.
The Democrats-I believe-are actually performing a self-cleansing act. They got 8 years of leadership when Clinton slickly moved the Democrats back towards the center, and almost right of center. They lost out when people liked it so much, the real conservative candidates (including Bush) merely reasserted how they provided better answers than the half hearted and newly Conservative Democrats did. With the Presidential election, and then with the Congressional bushwackings where they lost big again, and then again with the gubenatorial repudations of Democratic ideals, the Democrats themselves were-as Carville agreed on election night-a party "with no rudder, a broken mast, stuck in a doldrom..." The leader of their party-Clinton-had led them to this slightly more centrist viewpoint to help them obtain power. Now it had backfired. What to do now? Well, I think that shrewdly, the Democrats are letting their more left of center liberal friends take the reigns of their party at this time. People like Pelosi, Brenda Jackson Lee, Rev. Al Sharpton, Charlie Rangle, Dean, and others are being allowed to steer the party back towards a more distant left approach. I think people like McAullife at the DNC know that this ultimately will lead to Dean and Pelosi's destruction as viable leaders within their party. Dean will be thrashed, which will be yet another reupidation of left of center politics in this nation, and the more centrist of the Democrats will come back and pick up the pieces.... They'll say, "Look! See what you people do? We've lost everything we had. It's all because we let the far left control the party. If we're going to change things, we've got to move them back TOWARDS THE CENTER, and almost to the right of center on some issues." In other words, they're (Conservative Demoracts) sacrificing the short term future of their party in exchange for a clear path to power and much more refined, and more appealing long term future, and-what they're hoping is-better prospects for the long term future in terms of control of Congressional seats and ultimately the White House... No pain, no gain...and the Democrats in charge of the direction of the party realize this. They're going to burn the village to save the villagers, so to speak...

Well it has occured Ramah...I heard CNN and FoxNews both say that they didn't even tell the public about Saddams capture until they had actual DNA proof...Its him man...DNA results HAVE comfirmed that he is Saddam.
Is their any arena, political or sports related, that you actually know what you are talking about, Ramah? Watch the news and you will know that a DNA test was conducted. They didn't want to get everyone's hopes up. First they found distinguishing body marks on Saddam, then they did a DNA test confirming it was him...
