My Bush/hitler comparison was off kilter...so be it, i will admit that. I was not insinuating Bush had the same motives as Hitler, just he is invading countries to mask the problems on the homefront. Bush began Iraq invasion plans when the US was struggling in a very poor economy with a jobless rate at an all time high. i am glad you finally understand. i beleive the US should make decisions independednt of the UN. if we want iraq to not make do certain things, and the UN agrees, fine. but we do not need the UN's blessing to do anything, and i have never claimed we do. the UN agreed with and passed the resolutions we wanted on iraq, but didnt have the guts to enforce them. then screw them. they aparently dont care about their credibility.
thats what tax cuts are for. nah we cool, nobody cares. go tigers. no he is invading because we learned that what happens in other countries does effect us. we nueed credibility. when we tell other countries to chill out, we need them to understand that they better listen. i was in the world trade center twice a day up until sept 10 2001. then i learned that what happens in other countries can effect us. there is more to consider than just the jobless rate. if we say to another country "look, if you harbor terrorists, we will crush you", i dont want that country to think "yeah right, the US won't follow through, just look at iraq, they happily disobey what the US wants. lets, let the terrorist camps continue, and maybe they will kill more of martin's neighbors." so to me, credibility is the issue. we have to make the world understand that we are not joking.

The Dems are fumbling all over themselves after criticizing Bush for not getting Sadaam, saying he is wrong and should do this or that. Now that we got him they have to do a fast retreat and find some other thing to get him on. They can't even get him on the Economy anymore. It'll be an interesting year, The Dems are attacking and tearing down each other. Thanks to them, George Bush will probably be re-elected again. Nevermind what he's able to do over the next year. U.N. 1441 WAS the justification for this invasion...the catch being that WE, along with a few other member nations, i.e., the ones who WERE'NT dealing w/ Saddam under the table, were the only members of the U.N. who actually had enough sack to enforce it. It turns out that in trying to maintain the U.N.'s viability, we exposed the organization for the empty shell it really is. I don't expect that pea-brain of yours to comprehend that concept, but there it is. Oh, and BTW, nimrod...a VICE is a bad habit, like smoking or drinking or whoring. A VISE is something that you get caught in. Try going back to school and learning some English comprehension, or at least mix in Spellcheck, dummy.

Whether Osama Bin Laden gave specific detailed instructions for the 9-11 attack, or as may be, merely is responsible for training, funding, and acting as leader of a movement to murder as many Americans as possible and wage war (Jihad) upon America to the death is utterly unimportant to me. That is like asking a dead man does it matter which one of two armed robbers actually shot him. The point is, instead of sitting here wringing our hands in despair because these people dont like us and want to kill us, or embarking on efforts to "understand" their culture better etc., we are now in a position to physically prevent them from harming us by MAKING THEM DEAD FIRST! I dont give one flying flip for all the Frenchmen in the world or what they think when it comes to the safety and well being of my family and children. I would like the world to get all warm and fuzzy when they think of the United States, but if they choose to have ill feelings that is thier right as well. But we are talking about people who desire to KILL US, who have KILLED OUR COUNTRYMEN, and who are preparing to do so again and making plans to do it any way they can. When President Bush told the world that in this matter that those who give aid, support and shelter to those who attack us will be considered enemies just the same as the terrorists, he was right on the money. Otherwise we are stooges for attacks by surrogates of those nations, as has been the case in the past and which arrangement has been comfortable to them. I feel much more comfortable having these very countries staring down the barrel of American heavy Guns while they ponder their position relative to their support of Terrorists who advocate Jihad against our Country. Hurray for Our Gallant Servicemen holding those guns on those who Proclaim themselves our enemies! Hurray for Our Gallant Servicemen who have made thousands of those planning to kill our people DEAD FIRST before they had the chance to put their plans into action. Nice post, Shadeauxcaster. We've got far too many people out there who want to have it both ways, and you just can't do that. There IS no "peaceful coexistence" with those who want to see us dead and our way of life dragged back into the 12th century. The only way to end a war and achieve peace is for one side to win. So win we shall.
