Given my druthers, we'd exhume every last one of those boys who died over there and dedicate a cemetary to them HERE. They deserve to be buried in HALLOWED ground, and to my way of thinking, France no longer qualifies as such.

are we the aggressors? in ww2 when we invaded germany were we the aggressors? germany never invaded us right? i realize that is an extreme example, but remember when we liberated kuwait we could have hammered iraq for being an aggressive and murderous country, but we did not, because they agreed to do what we told them. now when they dont hold to their promises are we the aggressor for insisting they keep to their promises? had iraq never invaded kuwait, we never would have passed the resolutions. its because they are agressive that we must regulate them. we have no interest in imperialism, we will return iraq to iraq, we are not agressors. we are not expansionist. there is zero similarilty between bush and the others you mentioned. the united states is different than any other country i know of in history in that being invaded by us is always good news for the invaded. we try to leave you in far better political shape than we arrived. (germany, japan). we dont always succeed (vietnam), but we try. is it smart that we are so good and sometimes fix the worlds problems? maybe not. i dont give a damn if kuwait is taken over by iraq. but thats the way we do it, and our motivation is not , nor has it ever been to be agressive or imperialistic. and we must follow through and not allow countries like iraq to make promises and not keep them. not true.
hey sabanfan...did my post ever question our previous exploits in past wars. NO did Iraq destroy the world trade centers? NO Why is Bush going after Iraq, Iran, Syria, and so on? What political agenda does he have? We destroyed the government and organization responsible for The 9/11 tragedy before going into iraq. We went into Iraq under the premis Iraq had WOMD.....none have been found to date. many will argue iraq and Saddam were an easy target for Bush since we defeated them so handily the first time around, and they are the bullies of that area of the world. Do not question my patriotism Sabanfan. I do not question our previous wars, and I am grateful to all who have given their lives for the US, my family members among them. i am just asking what is our agenda TODAY!
I'll break my silence to you just this once to respond. We were already AT WAR with him, dumbass. There was a state of CEASE-FIRE that had existed since February of 1991, when we drove Saddam from Kuwait. Saddam BROKE said cease-fire by refusing to comply with it's conditions...therefore hostilities RESUMED. Being as you're one of the more STUPID people I've ever had the misfortune to encounter on the internet, I don't expect you to understand any of this...but if you had ANY notion of how things work in international affairs, you would know this already. For example, we have been in a state of cease-fire with North Korea since 1953...but you didn't know that, did you?

So one minute you are arguing that the US invaded Iraq under the authority of UN resolutions, the next minute you are arguing that the US invaded Iraq as a sovereign nation, and now you are using the invasion of Germany in 1944 as a justification for the invasion of Iraq? Germany DECLARED WAR on America in 1941, before we declared war on them. The WWII analogy is as bogus as your UN defense is. also please dont leave out parts of my quotes to make it look like i said something i didnt please. my point about germany was only demonstrating that just because you invade a country that never invaded you, does not make you an agressor, if that country has been attacking others. my example was extrme and absurd, meant to make you understand what being an agressor means. i realize iraq never invaded us. that doent mean invading them makes us an agressor. germany never invaded us. its called a logical counterexample.
