I assume you are being sarcastic, as this would totally demean the only legitimate reason for this - freeing a people from brutality. Oh, and it doesn't matter whether there are mods there - I happen to think there are. What matters is what our government knew when they made the decision, politically speaking of course, and they haven't even been forthcoming on that
Ok...there have been some very interesting points of view on this subject, but as far as bashing each other in a personal way, there is no place for that in a "forum". I thought a forum was a place for exchange of ideas, not for personal name-calling? Telling someone "Fuck you" has no place in a debate. You lose all credibility when doing so....especially when telling that to one of "us" who is in uniform overseas, sworn to protect the enemies of the United States, both foreign and domestic. I, myself have taken that oath. Do NOT doubt my love for country or my patriotism. I just think that our resources could have been much better used than to go after Saddam Hussien when Osama bin Laden was/is still at large. Finish one task before starting another. This mess MUST be a logistical nightmare. I can only imagine. And to all those who do NOT think the US's invasion of Iraq is directly correlated to oil, please look at the facts objectively and do not buy into everything the media tells you. Remember the old axiom about "believe nothing you read, and only half of what you see"? Keep an open mind and don't take personal pot shots at one another and this forum will serve its purpose. We can't all be TigerEducated, but we can become BetterEducated.
Why don't people want to talk about the 2 terrorist camps in Iraq. Everyone wants to forget about that and talk only about weapons of mass destruction. It must be a left thing.................. I feel sorry for all the 911 victims and thier families because no one cares about that evidence.
First of all, you're the typical delusional leftist idiot who doesn't have a clue what you're talking about. Terrorist behind September 11 strike was trained by Saddam By Con Coughlin Iraq's coalition government claims that it has uncovered documentary proof that Mohammed Atta, the al-Qaeda mastermind of the September 11 attacks against the US, was trained in Baghdad by Abu Nidal, the notorious Palestinian terrorist. Details of Atta's visit to the Iraqi capital in the summer of 2001, just weeks before he launched the most devastating terrorist attack in US history, are contained in a top secret memo written to Saddam Hussein, the then Iraqi president, by Tahir Jalil Habbush al-Tikriti, the former head of the Iraqi Intelligence Service. The handwritten memo, a copy of which has been obtained exclusively by the Telegraph, is dated July 1, 2001 and provides a short resume of a three-day "work programme" Atta had undertaken at Abu Nidal's base in Baghdad. In the memo, Habbush reports that Atta "displayed extraordinary effort" and demonstrated his ability to lead the team that would be "responsible for attacking the targets that we have agreed to destroy". The second part of the memo, which is headed "Niger Shipment", contains a report about an unspecified shipment - believed to be uranium - that it says has been transported to Iraq via Libya and Syria. Although Iraqi officials refused to disclose how and where they had obtained the document, Dr Ayad Allawi, a member of Iraq's ruling seven-man Presidential Committee, said the document was genuine. "We are uncovering evidence all the time of Saddam's involvement with al-Qaeda," he said. "But this is the most compelling piece of evidence that we have found so far. It shows that not only did Saddam have contacts with al-Qaeda, he had contact with those responsible for the September 11 attacks." Although Atta is believed to have been resident in Florida in the summer of 2001, he is known to have used more than a dozen aliases, and intelligence experts believe he could easily have slipped out of the US to visit Iraq. Abu Nidal, who was responsible for the failed assassination of the Israeli ambassador to London in 1982, was based in Baghdad for more than two decades. Source Second of all, Bush wasn't forced to admit anything! What Bush said was we have no proof that Saddam was involved in 9/11 at this time, but we definitely have proof that Saddam and OBL were cooperating for a decade including training al Qaeda in WMD.
Nobody believes that, CB. The problem is, you dolts on the left have yet to PROVE that this man lied about ANYTHING. Just saying he lied doesn't necessarily make it so, as much as you'd like it to.
You're not impressing a damn person around here, cotton bowl. I am hardcore republican, but I will be the first to admit when Bush makes a mistake or a Republican makes a mistake. You know Saddam killed over 1,000,000 from around 1986- 2003, right? You know about the THOUSANDS of open graves that Sadddam had, right??? So are you saying that an in power saddam is better than a disposed saddam? Are you you saying that someone who killed 1/6 of the people killed in the most heinous act of genocide(holocaust) is ok to stay in power? Give me your honest response.
Otherwise, shut the eff up, since you have nothing to say. Typical leftist...always trying to stifle free speech when it doesn't coincide with THEIR beliefs.
