That's odd. We fish the river with set lines. We go through a lot of trouble to catch live bait SOmwemwont catch blues and target spotted cats (flatheads). If we use cut bait (mullet, shad, chicken hearts) we will seldom catch a flathead but load up on the blues.
They def good. Fried about 2 gallons of em for a bunch of family and friends tonight. Can't say they better than flounder, trout, or bluegills but they right behind em.
I'd take a gallon of any of those. Well, not sure if I've ever eaten trout but if you say they're good, I'm game.
