We will be waiting for Bama....me especially !!! But the reason I can't wait, is because they kicked our a$$ in the NC game (We didn't really blow it).
Both Teams were evenly matched last year and appear to be as such this year as well. I just hope that both teams meet in Nov with the same intensity that they had last year. I've been to alot of games but last Nov game was the most intense game that I have ever seen. Two teams slugging it out and taking each others best shots with out breaking . A true heavy weight slobber knocker. Yes I was disappointed with the outcome but had great confidence that we would see them again. Sometimes it takes losing something to light the fire to be great. Losing amplifies motivation
Definitely true. But on the flip side, beating a team once at their place & then having to do it again (in the absence of a playoff) has the exact opposite effect. That's why it shouldn't happen, especially for all the marbles. The team that won the first round is at a distinct disadvantage heading into the second contest.
Exactly !!! I guarantee you that Saban did not want to give LSU a 30 day period to rest up, formulate a game plan and play LSU in a winner take all rubber match. Saban's smart, he knows his team would react with bravado that an underdog could take advantage of. The teams were equally matched, but we were over confident and they were hungry...the tables would have been reversed had they played a third game.
Partially True. If Bama lost in Tuscaloosa and it had little to do with LSU, then LSU lost in New Orleans and it had little to do with Bama.
Dear Saban! in the first game everyone knew that the winner would most likely not lose again! it was a one shot deal! your team was at home in front of 100,000 of your fans primetime, etc! WE WON THE GAME! we ran it for 150 yds behind our big oline and our defense made the plays it had to. all of this in spite of the fact we had serious lack of ability at the qb position thanks to a horrible miles hire in crowton! in big games you have to reveal your hold cards to win and lsus game plan was superior! it got us the victory! in the rematch i told my friends i still felt the "CROWTON SIGNATURE" was still on this offense. an offense that had limited ability against the better defenses due to absolutely p--- poor recruiting and player development at the qb position! your goldenboy image in the eyes of the national media unfortunatly got you guys a rematch i didnt think you deserved! the psyche was a no win situation for us as we had already beaten you on your home field and most of our players felt ROBBED! on the other hand you managed to bs your team into thinking you guys really were the better team in spite of the fact you LOST THE FIRST TIME! knowing full well that your chances of winning the title were shot by LOSING ON YOUR HOME FIELD! well you made the most of your oppurtunity and won congrats! but things are different now forever! we have a QUARTERBACK MY FRIEND! not some idiot who is completly lost and confused! my god i still cant believe how horrible weve been for 4 freakin yrs! from now on when our recievers do get open against your defenses weve got a gunslinger whos gonna nail them right in the numbers and your gonna be sorry! so bama fans you can expect us to return to our winning ways against you starting this year! miles is the better coach!
21-0 happened because The Hat, for reasons still unexplained, chose to have LSU play that game blindfolded and with one arm tied behind its back. 'Bama was/is a fine football team, but the outcome had little to do with anything Saban did to prepare them.
