I'm criticizing the decision to go to war to kill Saddam and sons and liberate Iraq, which cost American lives. I don't see the benefit worth the cost. Yes soldiers are willing to put their lives on the line for our country and put their lives in the hands of our leaders. It just upsets me that our leaders don't seem to revere the lives of our soldiers as much as I think they should.
What would lead you to believe I am in need of a pair? [edit] I'll pm you the rest of my message. I pray you aren't offended, but it is too funny to pass up.
it is hard for me to believe that person is a dude. they are into stripper religions and sprituality and female-celebrity-type mysticism and stuff.
I disagree. I think that our leaders revere the sacrifice American troops are willing to make and the spirit that they bring to the battlefield. One only need read one of the numerous books written thus far about the war - and I'm talking more history/battle related than opinionated - to see that. They knew this would be a tough engagement but trusted that our boys could get it done - which they have. And again, look at how many joined after OIF began and how many of them were killed. They obviously believed in this war and this country to volunteer and go fight. Hell, I've heard Marines complain that they missed out on the chance to fight. But then again, we Marines are a different breed. :thumb: I honestly can't name one person I've come across in my military career that hasn't believed in what we've been doing over here. I can guarantee you that President Bush feels a personal loss over every servicemember who came over here and didn't come back alive. If he didn't revere their lives, he wouldn't care.
i have met at least a hundred marines who think this was an absolute waste of resources, and waste of american lives. that last comment was laughable, if you think former president bush gives a rats ass about you or any other marine, you are delusional.
You've met at least hundred Marines? Where? I'm curious about this now. Of course, what would I know. It's not like I live and work with them every single day. Sure, there are going to be disgruntled individuals among the masses. But the opinions of a few don't represent the majority. I'm glad you think that last comment is laughable, but I believe it. If you think I'm delusional, so be it. I've even got a story to back up my belief, but I won't bore you with the details, since your mind and hatred of President Bush is made up.
If LaSalle can come up with 100 Marines (there are no ex-marines) who would disrespect any President like that, I'll kiss his ass on the 50 yard line at halftime of the Florida game.
said it earlier there were hundreds of former marines at Crawford protesting President Bush. My best friend who is a former marine, now currently a police officer in the D/FW metroplex is writing a book about the gross mismanagement of resources and American lives in Iraq. I will get him to sign a copy and send it to you when it comes out if you like. I really shouldnt have called you delusional you seem like a really nice guy, i apologize for that, i do respect your opinion, and definitely respect your sacrifice.
can't do it, they were ex marines. should have been more specific, my bad. no marine is going to put his face out there, while they are still in service.
