Look, I don't doubt that there are former Marines that protested President Bush and disagreed with the war. But I think taking the opinion of a hundred Marines who got out as the opinion of the majority (which you seem to be implying) is a bit flawed. But if you ask me, the proof is in the numbers. In the past 2-3 years, the Marine Corps has upped its size to 202,000 Marines, something we thought would take over 5 years to do. Our deployment tempo is absurd right now, which I will personally admit sucks, but necessary, and yet people are still trying to get in the door. Seems to me there are plenty that still believe in what we're doing.
Hundreds of Marines at Sheehans protests? What were they wearing, invisible suits? I would love to see the pictures or reports about these hundreds of Marines. Just look at Sheehans own photo blogs. A small handful of people at most in any picture.
were you there dude? this thing went on for weeks, we drove down 3 weekends in a row, myself, my other friend, and 2 marines, and that little chicken **** town was full of people, it was actually really fun, at the time i had no interest in any of what was going on, but my marine buddies wanted me to go. There were people coming in and out all the time, at the one field we parked we had to park about 5 miles down the street because of all the cars. It wasn't just a Cindy Sheehan thing.
When you're smoking dope, a Geico commercial is great fun. Let me know when you grow up and join the adult world.
