From what they were saying on the post game show last night he likes it here and his family likes it here. They thought that he would stay put.

Not too worried about that. Miles, after all, was an offensive lineman himself...

that's good to hear. That's pretty much what he said when Saban asked him to join him in Miami.

I agree that we might not miss Searles much as a coach. We would miss him as a recruiter though.

There might be a difference between Miles and Saban in the sense that Saban overruled Jimbo less than Miles, since Miles is more offense minded, and Saban on the defense.

The FSU route for Jimbo makes sense for Jimbo; but what if Alabama outbids Florida in terms of salary???

If I were a betting man I would bet that Jimbo leaves to work with Saban.

Nope. That's a step backward, not a sideways move. FSU is a sideways move, but Jimbo would be the frontrunner to repalce Bowden when he retires.

Jimbo needs to be a head coach and soon. Nick isn't going anywhere soon at Bama unless he gets fired and if that happens his whole staff will be gone, too. Bowden is 77 and ready for the rocking chair.

I say its Jimbo to Free Shoes U with an unspoken arrangement to be head coach when Bowden retires.

I know the Alabama coach took some coaches with him to Miami when he fled LA. Why didn't he take Jimbo then?
