Nearly the entire membership of the church I attend, nearly all of the employees at the newspaper I work for, nearly all my neighbors . . . well, you get the picture.

I live in LA, dude. Have for 28 years. I'm not some guy in Alabama with one uncle who lives in Baton Rouge. Nearly everyone I know is a Tiger fan and every one of them have said they didn't like Miles. 'Course, that was before Saban signed with Bama.

So, you're mad 'cause he left the Dolphins. Or, because he's not a good role model for kids. Oh. I see. You must be mad at a lot of coaches, huh?

Thanks to the rest of you for your answers. It was just something I was having trouble comprehending. You see, a co-worker of mine, an LSU grad, asked me the other day if Bama hated LSU like LSU hated Bama. He couldn't believe it when I said, "No." It's Auburn and Tennessee we hold an intense dislike for. They are our big rivals, not LSU. You guys are a rival, certainly, but it's because you're in the SEC West. We like to beat you (when we can), but I think we'd give up a loss to you guys to beat UT and Auburn.

Anyway, looking forward to some good games in the future. 41-14! My lawd!:thumb:

Hey BamaButtPirate or whatever your name is.:hihi:

I am a man of priciple and NS doesnt have that but he preaches it. That is where my dislike comes from. Its not that he is at Bama but all the people he tried to make fools of while accepting the job. ETC....

    Beware of the Thumb:thumb:

Yep, maybe but your employees and church aren't really considered a profession, I thought coaches were.
So its okay because everybody does it?
What if your kid lied to you and you found out, Is that ok?
If someone deliberty looks at you and lies, makes you wonder what
was truth and what was fiction all along!

Where did anyone say I was mad?
I thought coaches were role models.
Maybe I'm delusional but I've never seen a coach deliberately look the country
    in the face and lie!
He also lied to all the recruits he left at LSU when he jumped ship.
I didn't like the way he left LSU but I figured he did it to better his family
with which I had no problem with.
I'm really glad he's at bama gives a reason to have a Rivalry since that had
been desolved about the last 6 years or so.

I just thought I really knew someone that I didn't know at all.
    That is all!

You should reconsider who you hang out with in this case. Who doesn't think a coach with a 22-4 record and two complete undressings of "powerhouses" in bowl games is good coach? That's ridiculous.

    Now, that's original. :dis:

That's what I don't get. You guys loved Saban while he was wearing purple and gold, didn't you? Was it after he left y'all for the Dolphins that he became unprincipled? Was he unprincipled when he left Michigan State for LSU?

    You an Auburn fan now?:hihi:

Look. I didn't come here to start an argument. I had some questions about the current attitudes of LSU fans with regard to Saban and Alabama. The several LSU guys who've viisited RollTideBama.com have neglected to give me an answer. LSU's been my 2nd favorite team in the SEC for a long time and I just didn't get the animosity. However, if you've got to dislike Saban and Bama, so be it. We'll try to struggle through. I'll continue to pull for LSU when not playing Alabama.

Tell me, did Bama fans get a little testy when Francionne skipped town? How popular is he in Tuscaloosa? What if he became the coach at Tennessee or Auburn, would that annoy you?

Look, Nick was poplular with us when he was at LSU. He was less popular when he left for an NFL job, but we understood it was a dream of his. He is unpopular now that he has taken at a job with a West Division rival to recruit against us and challenge us for the title. Is this so hard to understand?

Nobody hates Bama for hiring him. He's a good coach and they really need one. We are a litle cynical about the amount of cash Bama laid down, but so is the entire football community . . . or haven't you heard? Congress is talking about removing university tax-exempt status because of the pay that coaches are getting. It probably won't happen, but if it does Bama will receive much of the blame.
