I had not heard about Moffitt. I guess he chose to follow his heart (or his wife's heart) and stay at LSU. Let me ask a question or two. You say Saban tried to steal Moffitt. Why steal? Where is a head coach supposed to get his staff if not from other staffs? There aren't many unemployed assistant coaches lying around.

Why do you guys dislike Saban so much? And, why this new hatred for Alabama? We didn't steal him from LSU. He's been gone two years. When he decided to return to college ball, do you think he should have given you first shot at him? Would you fire Les to get him? I doubt it.

Just a few short weeks ago, every LSU fan I know (and I know many) thought Les Miles was not a very good coach. Now, since Saban "betrayed" LSU, left the Dolphins, and came to Alabama, suddenly Miles is the best coach in the nation, much better than Saban. That may be, but the reversal in the thinking of LSU fans is baffling, if not humorous.

You've got a coach you like (I hope) and so do we. Let's leave it at that and drop the hatred. It's such an unseemly emotion.

Btw, I loved LSU's butt-whuppin' of Notre Dame. I get tired of the national media wondering how ND could have lost that game instead of giving the Tigers props for out-playing ND.

New?? I grew up not liking Bama (Hate is a strong word for such a blanket statement cause I know there are good people in Bama's program) when they were hammering us. Thankfully the pendulum has swung and got stuck. lol

    Do you know SabanFan??

Seriously, many did withold judgement but through this season, and especially the Sugar Bowl, they've come around. It was more of a question mark than thinking he wasn't a good coach for most......from the one's I encountered. He had his supporters here.......you haven't posted in over a year- maybe you read though so you should know that if you did.

    Thanks! :thumb:

If someone will lie then they will steal!

We thought he was a professional, classy coach and human being!
He destroyed the Dolphins and left them hanging with 23 assistants
during the middle of the contracts, can you say professional.

Lets put it this way, Fran coaches Alabama goes to NFL then quits, goes
to Auburn and on the same weekend as the Sugarblowl is in the news
everywhere before, during and after the game for 3 days.
Alabama vs ND in Sugarbowl THEN is announced as the new head coach
during halftime of the Alabama vs Auburn basketball game.
Would you like that? Does that help you understand?

Fran going from Alabama to Auburn via the NFL
I don't know about Miles being the best coach?
I'm not sold on Miles but his record is overall better than Sabans even though
he has won with Saban's talent.
This is why I'm glad JR will probably leave, its time to see what Miles players
    can do.

    NO Way, totally wrong!
WE need this for a good Rivalry.
BTW tell other Bama fans they can stop rubbing their noses in our face.
Thats one reason for the hatred.
You guys haven't even played a game and some attitudes are unreal!
This isn't going to change also because of all the hype from here until
    Saban leaves Alabama.
Everyone is going to get sick of hearing about all this mess instead of the
USC crap, USC will probably become jealous!

    Thanks for that.
I also rooted for Bama in the Cotton bowl last year!

I think a lot of people over here are still upset at the way Saban left. Hey it is a job. That is the bottom line. Like it or not Saban ultimately did what he thought was best for him. People questioned his LOYALTY TOWARD LSU over that of the all mighty dollar.

Let him have a couple of losing seasons when he was at LSU and see how much loyalty the fans would have had toward him.

and what does moffett owe lsu? do a good job, and he has, he can leave when he wants and shouldnt get crap over it.

    Apples to Oranges...
Dale Brown is an LSU guy who did everything he could do to build his program.
He didn't lie or run in the middle of the night after lying.

Geaux talk to the Miami Dolphins since you don't think he's done anything wrong.
Its amazing how people excuse bad behavior these days.
Next it will be okay for the whole world to act like NS.
For god sake, coaching is suppose to be a profession.
I guess its ok for politicians to act like that so why not coaches and everyone
    else.
Great role models for kids since they look up to coaches? correct?

    1. LSU fans reserve the right to dislike anyone they choose for any reason they choose. We do not need to justify our reasons to you. It's called college football and rivalries. Why do you guys hate Auburn so much? They are all you friends and neighbors. They are right down the road from you. Grads from that school go one to benefit your state. You can't logically rationalize college football rivalries and what starts them. It's part of the game and makes it interesting.

    2. I for one don't really care that much that Saban went to Bama. I could care less about the Dolphins and I don't think he is going to be this great savior at Bama that your bosters seem to think he will.

    4. I do like and encourage all of the negative pub about Saban because it will hurt is reputation and ability to recruit. Those that say things like this don't matter are just plain naive. This will impact recruiting, especially for kids from good family's that believe in values, commitment and honesty. Promises and trust are a huge part of the recruiting process and the recent events make it look very difficult for a recruit and his family to put trust in Saban. All of the negative pub keeps that fact right in the front of their minds.
