In terms of dollars, I've expected a large return on the investment and we are starting to see it right now with our Alumni base. XXL has a point, you don't hear many people talk about college football without mentioning Saban and Bama. I dare say, we are being talked about as much, if not more, than the USC's, LSU's, etc.

And every bama board has a Miles thread. gumps can't just be happy about having saban, they have to denigrate our coach. and they wonder why we're hoping to plant our foot in their a** on nov. 3rd

being talked about doesn't equate to being talked about positively... just ask michael vick. a lying whore by any other name is still a lying whore.

I understand what you are saying, but it's the impact of the publicity that has recruits, who didn't have Bama even in their favorites, talking about visits, the program, etc. Burton Scott serves as a great example of that.

The "liar" statements by the talking heads just drew more attn. to his accomplishments, the program, and what opportunities kids had if they considered playing at Bama. If it is drawing more attn. to the program, and folks weigh that with the success Saban has had in college football, it's good publicity.

I'd guess that there are a lot of people who see the irony in that post. :hihi:

Just keep in mind that publicity has never won football games for you.
Matter of fact it is more of a distraction.
That is one reason Bama has no chance against LSU in football this year.
None, Saban will be asked so many questions his hair will stand up.
