I'm not sure why you're set on he has to do well in ATL to be successful.

I think Alabama, like most teams, will do well in state and try to grab a couple from out of state. Auburn will get more GA guys, but Bama does very well in FL.

FWIW, Bama is about to get another Norcross guy.

Saban wasn't brought in to maintain the status quo.
Saban was brought in to elevate 'Bama into a dominant program in the SEC.

Do you think that Saban is going to beat LSU with less talent?

No Bama will not beat anyone with less talent, but you seem to be the only one that thinks that he has to clean up in Atlanta to do any good. It could be hypothesized that a national championship could be won without any players from Georgia. How many Georgia people were there on any NC teams of the last few years?

I'm saying that 'Bama doesn't currently have the depth of talent necessary to dominate the SEC.

Saban may knock off a few opponents, but dominate is another category altogether.

As the old saying goes, "Excellence is never an accident."

You haven't said anything about depth, you have prattled on and on about Saban recruiting Atlanta.
Hell, everybody knows that Bama is thinner than "pot likker on a plate". That will change in a little while.

Have Bama fans lost their sense of reality?

I read this on a Vol board:

"Bama people would not be any more excited if Jesus came to visit them tomorrow."

I am waiting to see what Saban does and where he goes to try to upgrade.
And that will be the deciding factor about how well Saban ultimately does at Bama.

Atlanta just happens to be the largest and deepest talent pool within 200 miles of Tuscaloosa.
If Saban doesn't break into Atlanta, it will be just like Houston Nutt being too lazy to recruit in Kansas City.

You diminish your IQ by even going there. By the way, I visited the UGA board and it reads Barner Lite.

The media and fans from opposing schools are turning out to be Alabama's best recruiting tools. They can't seem to shut up about Nick Saban, his prior successes, his salary, and the fan devotion of the Tide faithful.

On behalf of the Bama Nation I would like to extend our heart felt gratitude and urge you all to keep it up and never let it rest. We couldn't pay for publicity like this.:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

There is a Saban/Alabama thread on every forum in the SEC. Muchos Grassy Ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Mobile & BHam.

But I agree with you, it will be interesting to see how he does. Alabama is loaded again next year so he wont have a problem. I want to see if he can grab some ATL guys in a down Bama year.
