1. Saban needs to be careful when drafting LSU players--NOT that I don't think any of them can play--but remember when Spurrier seemed to have a former Gator at every positon you turned?? It didn't work out too well for Spurrier in going that route.....

As a successful former college coach, you have to be cautious when signing/drating too many of your former guys because if things start going south for you too quickly (i.e. when you start dropping some games), the fans and media will look to lay the blame on drafting "too many former players" and not "branching out"...
  2. the dolphins should consider losing the auburn kid and keeping ricky, mark my words he'll be back to almost his best next year...

david boston is playing well, and staying clean... they can get T.O. too...

when your coach is a disciplinarian, and holds people accountable for their actions unlike those pussies wandstadt and reid... you get great results
  3. Saban is not Spurrier.

Saban actually works hard in the NFL and Miami played well under him.

If Saban drafts LSU players, I bet it turns out better
  4. I don't think he'll go overboard in drafting LSU players...though I do think he has a very real bias towards SEC players.

    Nothing wrong with that, IMO.
  5. As long as he's winning, no, there is nothing wrong with that. I'm just stating, that in today's world of sports, and the expectations of fanbases and media, should the Dolphins start losing--or even return to mediocre playing--that's one excuse that fans and media will focus on.

I happen to think that the SEC produces some of the best talent in the pros--but I could hardly claim that an outsider would believe that I'm not biased in that opinion...
  6. I doubt this. He occupies almost zero cap space, played more consistently than Ronnie Brown, AND Mularkey's offense is predicated on a HEAVY percentage of running plays. In a perfect world, he'd call over 40 running plays.

  7. Good News! Skyler practiced today. Apparently the injury is not nearly as bad as first thought or he wouldn't even have tried it. The team practiced in helmets only, and I have no clue how he did or if he will play much tomorrow, but the good thing is he is healthy enough to be back out there.
  8. oh man, I hope he runs a return back... that would be sweet.... :geauxtige
